The Holy Mass commenced at exactly 7:00am with a melodious entrance hymn led by the choir, followed by a solemn procession of altar servers, lectors, catechists, and the Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Habila S. Bala.
The atmosphere of the celebration was deeply prayerful and reflective, in keeping with the Lenten season, as the congregation participated actively in the sacred liturgy.
The Liturgy of the Word featured the following readings:
First Reading: Ezekiel 37:12–14
Responsorial Psalm: Psalm 130
Second Reading: Romans 8:8–11
Gospel Reading: John 11:1–45
In his homily, Rev. Fr. Habila S. Bala centered his message on the theme, “Jesus is the Resurrection and the Life.” He reflected on the Gospel passage of the raising of Lazarus, emphasizing the power of Christ over death and His promise of new life. He encouraged the faithful to deepen their faith in Jesus, especially during this Lenten season, and to trust in His ability to restore hope even in difficult situations.
The priest further urged the congregation to examine their spiritual lives, turn away from sin, and embrace the grace of renewal that Christ offers, reminding them that true life is found in Him alone.
The Holy Mass concluded peacefully at 9:30am with the final blessing, leaving the faithful spiritually nourished and strengthened as they continue their Lenten journey.
