HOLY CHILDHOOD ASSOCIATION MARKS 25TH ANNIVERSARY IN MALUMFASHI DEANERY

The Holy Childhood Association (HCA) of Malumfashi Deanery on Sunday, April 12, 2026, joyfully celebrated its 25th anniversary in a solemn Mass held at St. Vincent Ferrer Catholic Church, Malumfashi, in commemoration of Divine Mercy Sunday.
The Eucharistic celebration commenced at about 9:00 a.m., with the Parish Priest, Very Rev. Fr. Cyril Ibe, serving as the Chief Celebrant, alongside Rev. Fr. Musa Abubakar as Co-celebrant.
Members of the Holy Childhood Association played prominent roles throughout the liturgy, actively participating in serving at the altar, leading the choir, and handling ushering duties, thereby demonstrating their commitment and growth within the Church.
Delivering the homily, Fr. Cyril Ibe emphasized the importance of the corporal and spiritual works of mercy, urging the faithful to live out these virtues in their daily lives. He also encouraged parishioners to deepen their devotion by joining the Divine Mercy Apostolate. As part of the celebration, new members were formally inaugurated into the devotion.
The Mass featured multiple thanksgiving offerings from individuals and groups, expressing gratitude to God for blessings received and the successful journey of the HCA over the past 25 years.
The celebration concluded with the exposition of the Blessed Sacrament and the recitation of Divine Mercy prayers, marking a spiritually uplifting end to the anniversary event.
