The Holy Childhood Association (HCA) of St. Anthony of Padua Parish marked its 25th Anniversary with a special act of faith and compassion, dedicating prayers and visits to five sick members of the community.
The anniversary program was not only a celebration of the association’s milestone but also a reaffirmation of its mission to nurture children in the spirit of prayer, charity, and service. Members of the HCA gathered to pray for the sick, offering words of encouragement and spiritual support to those in need.
The parish priest, Rev. Fr. Chibi Samaila Peter, accompanied and supported the children during the outreach. His presence underscored the parish’s commitment to guiding young faithful in living out the values of the Church through practical acts of mercy. Fr. Peter commended the HCA members for their dedication and reminded them that visiting the sick is a vital expression of Christian love and solidarity.
Parish leaders highlighted that the initiative reflects the core mission of the HCA: to help children grow in faith while practicing compassion toward others. The prayers and visits brought hope and comfort to the sick and their families, reinforcing the message that the Church stands with them in their struggles.
The 25th Anniversary celebration thus became a living testimony of faith in action, combining prayer with service. Community members expressed gratitude for the outreach, noting that such acts strengthen the bonds of faith and bring healing to the spirit as well as the body.
