HCA 25TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION MASS AT ST. MARY'S CATHOLIC CHURCH KORAU PARISH (NEW BASILICA)

The mass celebration began at 9:00am by the PMS Director Rev. Fr. Abubakar Musa with a procession song from the HCA Choir, the liturgy of the words featured the following readings: First Reading was taken from the book of Ezekiel 37:12-14, Second Reading from Romance 8:8-11 and the Gospel was taken from the book of John 11:1-45.
The homily emphasize on the importance of faith, love and patience as in the case of Jesus and Lazarus, the priest thought the Holy Childhood Association (HCA) about the meaning of friendship and narrated how Jesus showed love to his friend Lazarus as it was said in the gospel reading.
He also emphasize on the importance of faith and patience as in the case of Martha the sister of Lazarus.
The Mass ended at 12:00pm.
The HCA begins with their program of event at 1:00am starting with welcoming of members of the Association and introduction of animators and teachers of HCA by the katsina diocesan Coordinator, Dame Sandra Ebere Chukwu.
Various activities took place such as Bible Sword, Bible Quize, Catechism and cultural dance where St. Mary's Catholic Church Karau (New Basilica) assumed winner of Catechism Quize and St. Paul's Catholic Church Tafoki became Second while in Bible Sword St. John of the Cross Kurma assumed winner and St. Mary's Catholic Church Korau (New Basilica) became second and all the parishes did their best in the Bible Quize, at the end of the program a small token was presented to the winners of the various competitions.
Finally, the PMS Director Rev. Fr. Abubakar Musa was called to cut the Anniversary Celebration Cake together with the all parishes representatives.
