The programme commenced with an opening prayer led by the Diocesan Chaplain, who also serves as the Funtua Deanery Chaplain, Rev. Fr. Musa Abubakar. In his opening remarks, he encouraged participants to develop a deeper understanding of their responsibilities as members of Sabon Rai and to remain steadfast in their Catholic faith.
Several activities featured during the gathering, including Bible quiz competitions, debates and musical performances, with participating parishes demonstrating remarkable enthusiasm and support. The competitions provided an opportunity for participants to showcase their biblical knowledge, talents and commitment to the activities of the association.
Outstanding participants and parishes were recognised with prizes for their performances, particularly in the music competitions, as a way of encouraging dedication, creativity and active participation.
The two-day programme officially ended at 5:00 p.m., with Rev. Fr. Musa Abubakar imparting the final blessing, bringing the gathering to a close.
