Visitation of the Hausa Christian Foundation (HACFO) to Displaced Hausa Christians in Funtua

Visitation of the Hausa Christian Foundation (HACFO) to Displaced Hausa Christians in Funtua
The Hausa Christian Foundation (HACFO), led by founder and minister Mr. Joshua Danlami Jydson, visited displaced Hausa Christians in Funtua in a mission of solidarity, hope, and relief. The Migrants and Refugees Unit, whose members formed the majority of the gathering, welcomed HACFO warmly, recognizing their shared commitment to restoring dignity and empowering victims of insecurity. Mr. Jydson provided a historical overview of HACFO, which began as a support network for Hausa Christians and later expanded to serve all Christians across Northern Nigeria. The organization engages in missionary outreach, legal defense, rescue operations of force converts, court advocacy, relief for insurgency victims, mentorship, and vocational training. In his keynote address, “What Are We Doing in This Difficult Time?”, Mr. Jydson highlighted the historical roots of the current crisis and posed critical questions about its causes, the mission of its perpetrators, and the community’s response. He urged the displaced to diversify their livelihoods beyond agriculture, emphasizing skill acquisition and entrepreneurship as vital for survival. The teachings sparked deep reflection and community dialogue, with many emphasizing the need for internal solidarity and self-protection. The event concluded with prayers, a group photograph, and the distribution of clothing and food items, acts of compassion that brought comfort and renewed hope. This visitation served as a powerful reminder that faith-based unity and strategic empowerment are essential in overcoming adversity. HACFO’s presence reaffirmed that the community is not alone and inspired a collective commitment to healing and resilience.
