Third Diocesan Priests’ Meeting & 2nd Diocesan Anniversary / End of the Year Party – 11th to 12th December 2025

The Diocese of Katsina is preparing joyfully for the Third Diocesan Priests’ Meeting, which will be held alongside the celebration of the 2nd Anniversary of the Diocese and the annual End of the Year Party. These events are scheduled to take place from Thursday, 11th to Friday, 12th December 2025. It will be a moment of fraternity, reflection, thanksgiving, and celebration, bringing together the clergy and faithful of the Diocese in a spirit of communion. The Priests’ Meeting provides a vital platform for the clergy to gather with the Bishop in prayer, dialogue, and pastoral planning. It is a time to review the progress made in the past year, discuss challenges, and chart new paths for evangelization and pastoral care. Such gatherings strengthen the unity of the presbyterium and renew the commitment of priests to serve with zeal and fidelity. This year’s meeting is particularly special as it coincides with the 2nd Anniversary of our Diocese. Marking the 2nd Anniversary of the Diocese is an occasion to look back with gratitude on the blessings received since our establishment. In just two years, the Lord has guided our Diocese through challenges and triumphs, allowing us to grow steadily in faith and mission. The anniversary will include thanksgiving prayers and reflections on the journey so far, as well as renewed dedication to the future of the Diocese. It is a moment for both clergy and laity to rejoice together as one family in Christ. The events will culminate with the End of the Year Party, a joyful occasion where priests, religious, and lay faithful gather in thanksgiving for God’s abundant blessings throughout 2025. This celebration fosters bonds of friendship and unity, reminding us that we are all co-workers in the vineyard of the Lord. Music, cultural expressions, and fraternal sharing will mark the event, giving everyone an opportunity to celebrate God’s goodness together. All faithful of the Diocese are invited to join in these celebrations, especially in prayer for our priests and the growth of our Diocese. May the Third Diocesan Priests’ Meeting, the 2nd Anniversary, and the End of the Year Party renew our faith, deepen our unity, and inspire us to enter the new year with gratitude, hope, and renewed zeal for the mission of Christ.
